August/September 2005

Greetings from Hyperspace Studios, and welcome to the third edition of our newsletter, where we will inform you of everything new happening here, from recent or upcoming events to new images and store items at the Hyperspace Studios website.
We have a new slide show with a musical score posted on the front page of the Hyperspace Studios site, featuring work in paint, tattoo and photography by Guy and Michele, with a soundtrack by Sunchannel, Michele's musical project. This song, Art Reality, is the first MP3 she has posted for the general public. Stay tuned for more music when the official Sunchannel website goes up this fall.
After nearly 3 months on display, Guy and Michele's paintings Mind Tree X and From Within have come down from the walls to be replaced by the new COSM show, Every Body is a Sacred Mirror, featuring nude photos of people standing in the traditional Sacred Mirror posture. Many of the participants in the spring COSM event featured in our first newsletter posed for Alex Grey to be photographed for this event. If you are in NYC in August or September, be sure to drop by the COSM gallery to check it out.
We have new images posted at the site this month for you to check out. Some of Michele's new tattoo images include mother&daughter, Debbie, and Diana1. Also, in anticipation of her upcoming photography book Moments of Epiphany, she has posted a collection of new photographs including peakabo, lightcells, tinyblossom, dancer, latesummer, two, spottedleaf, and reddrenched.
Guy has two new paintings posted, Lightform9 and lyndaBurst, plus a collection of new skin work: bondelliBothArms, bondelliDetail, bondelliSleeve, bondelliSleevesBack, micah, deanSleeve1, deanSleeveDetail1, CK21, fallenCohen, aaronChest, Tommaso, joeRiver, joeRoad, and drewForearm. The Bondelli sleeve project has been ongoing for 5 years, and was very satisfying to finish. They are the first (and most likely last) pair of identical sleeves that Guy has done, and were modeled from computer generated graphics created by Guy and the client, Jay Bondelli, who used to work at Guy's former Chicago shop, Guilty and Innocent Productions.
Guy has finished the layout for his upcoming art book Organica, which should be available near the end of the year. A handful of volunteers from around the world have been working on translations of the text for this book; so far the completed translations include German, Russian, Italian and Polish. By the time the book is available we hope to have translations in 12 languages, since Guy is interested in trying to expand his audience to a wider geographic area. This will later be followed by multilingual translations of his educational book Reinventing The Tattoo, which will be available in a fully revised hardcover edition in 2006. To see sample pages and text excerpts from Organica, check out our second newsletter.
We have four new archival canvas art prints available this month. Michele's epic painting New Beginnings is now being offered as a large format print, signed and dated by the artist. Guy has three of his more elaborate paintings available now as prints also: Lightform IX, Mind Tree VIII, and Beacon of Faith. We are also now offering custom made frames for these canvas prints, so they can be presented the same way as the original oil paintings. Just contact Guy or Michele with any frame related questions.
We hope you enjoy the slide show and the new images. If you have any friends who are tattoo or visionary art fans, be sure to direct them to our site so they can subscribe to our newsletter. Thanks, and have a great summer!
