Greetings from Tattoo Education!
We're psyched to announce the release of our very own ultra-cheezy infomercial! We wanted to try something new, so we asked Richie Bulldog of www.sotattooed.com to make us a commercial. Richie is not only a great editor but actually has a background in standup comedy, and has been the pitchman on a few real cable TV infomercials. He used his unusual skills to put together a short film that we think is quite hilarious. Check it out... for those of you accustomed to Guy's usual dry delivery, you'll find this quite amusing.
We also have a new blog posted at Tattoo Education, the second in a series on complex coverup projects. This was a challenging coverup but also a good example of a fairly typical request that a tattooist might get, and shows several stages involved in transforming a dense, dark blob into a brightly colored and sharply defined half sleeve. Whether you are an artist or a collector seeking a coverup project, you'll find this information and its accompanying images intriguing and informative.
Guy also posted several new topics at the Ask Guy page, this time focusing on pigment reactions, general inspiration and developing a steadier hand. Take a look, along with all of our previous posts. As usual, feel free to submit your own questions as well.
Thanks, and we'll be in touch soon!
