Greetings from Hyperspace!
The big news this fall is, of course, the elections coming up. No
matter what you believe, this is a time of decision for our nation
and a major piece of history in the making. However, I understand
how some people can be cynical about voting. After all, Michele and
I didn't bother to vote when we were young; the big issues seemed too
far removed from our artistic lives to worry about.
We can no longer afford to think that way. Regardless your age or
profession, this will affect you, your children and your
grandchildren. No matter what you think, YOUR VOTE COUNTS. If
nothing else, voting gives you valuable complaining rights later on;
as a participant in this decision, you are entitled to an opinion.
Without voting, though, how can you complain? Now is your chance to
be a part of history. If you aren't already registered to vote, go
to www.rockthevote.org to sign up. The deadline is coming soon, so
now is your chance!
Also this month, we've got some new work posted at some of the
Hyperspace galleries. This includes a collection of new pieces in
the Collaborative gallery, featuring collaborative work from Guy
AItchison, Nick Baxter, Don McDonald, Markus Lenhard and Jon Clue,
both on skin and on canvas. In addition, Michele has a whole set of
new figure drawings posted at her figure gallery, and a fresh series
of Hypersketches. Two of these are now available on eBay; Michele's
Hypersketches are some very fun, small and affordable pieces of
original art, great for gifts or for adorning your workstation. Get
them while they last!
Take care... and we'll be in touch!
