Greetings from Hyperspace!
Everything we've done this month has been in preparation for the big event, Innerstate, that we're hosting in Columbus, Ohio on the 27th-31st of May. Innerstate is a one-of-a-kind event, bringing together a remarkable list of tattooing's top talents into one place with the goal of creating a body of exciting new visual works as a public performance. Innerstate will be connected to the successful Hell City Tattoo Fest that's happening that weekend in the same location, the Hyatt Regency Downtown Columbus. Although the artists gathering at the event are all big names in the tattoo profession, this weekend will be for the purpose of working in other fine art mediums such as oil paints and printmaking, as all the artists involved excel in other art forms outside of tattooing. The list includes Guy Aitchison, Michele Wortman, Hannah Aitchison, Shawn Barber, Kim Saigh, Nick Baxter, Markus Lenhard, Nikko Hurtado, Jeff Ensminger, Jon Clue, Juan Salgado, Nate Beavers, Jen Schichi, Chris Dingwell, Christopher Gay, Gabriel Cece, Steve Morris, Don McDonald, Tim Creed, Craig Driscoll, Phil Robertson, Kim Reed, Jennifer Billig, Marty Holcomb, Muriel Zao, Mike Cole, Adrian Dominic, Jeff Gogue, Patrick Conlon, Damon Conklin, Lizi Sage, Cory Norris, Ricky McGee, Tim Boor, Dee Dee Seruga, Jay Strange, Dan Plumley, Tim Plumley, Canman, Juan Lopez and Carson Hill.
If you are an art fan or a creative person interested in seeing the inner workings of these artists' techniques, Innerstate will be a chance of a lifetime to witness creativity at its most powerful. Many of the participating artists will have books, prints and other fine art merchandise available. Admission is free for anyone who has a Hell City wristband. On the night of Saturday the 30th, the performance will also feature several DJs playing sets of progressive electronic music; on this evening admission is $10 for anyone without a wristband.
Don't miss this opportunity for an unparalleled visual experience, and help support art at its most cutting edge. We hope to see you there-
Guy & Michele
